I've always thought that you shouldn't write/blog/do art/etc unless you actually have something to write/blog/do art about. Lately I've felt a lot more willing to share because I've had a lot more going on. And the Oatmeal inspired me just a little 
Check out this comic, he's awesome. And I'll probably post a real blog tomorrow.
